The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 30,000 members in 206 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.

I am happy to announce that I will be meeting with the folks heading up the National Philanthropy Day event. On the menu for design by The Greater Good are:

  • Save the Date Postcards
  • Event Invitation
  • 20-Page Magazine
  • I am very excited to be assisting this organization. Stay tuned for more!

Well, my wife and I pulled off the impossible. We moved from one house to another (including EVERYTHING) over the course of two days. Pretty insane!

I admire her patience and valor.

In any event, I am happy to be back in the saddle of my new home office. The music is playing, the sun is shining and it is time to design.

    Have a great day, everyone.

My friend Jamie Allen of J Allen Design sent me an iChat message yesterday informing me that a handful of logos created by The Greater Good Design have been featured on a web technology website.

The blog, Splashnology, features an “Inspiration” section which currently showcases “100 Fresh Beautiful Logos”. We are blown away that the Eco Frog logo, Ideation Consulting logo, Pure Detail logo and Project Offland logo have all been featured to help other designers find inspiration when developing logo concepts.

    Totally radical.

Thanks for the tip, JA. And thanks to Splashnology for the link love.

Active Cupid – a dating website-to-be, has asked The Greater Good Design to develop the overall interface for their web presence.

I have always wanted to take a shot at designing a dating website, just to experience it. Now I have the chance and I am super excited to be working for Justin Belmont – the company’s founder.

Welcome to The Greater Good, Justin!

I’m a HUGE lover of dogs. My wife and I have two, actually – Murphy, a crazy white Mini Schnauzer and Tucker, a more relaxed Norfolk Terrior. Both of them flank me in their little beds as I type this very news article!

Newfoundlands of Camelot is a California-based kennel with a specialty in breeding championship Newfoundlands. The Newfoundland is obviously MUCH larger than my two little ankle biters, but I am very happy to be lending a hand with a logo concept and subsequent website concept. I will be handing the website concept off to a developer who will be building it with Silverlight.

Feel free to stop by my Greater Good Design Facebook page and see sneak peaks of the progress – http://tiny.cc/Pdfel. Don’t forget to “Become a fan” while you’re there!

Thanks for your support. Thanks for reading. Thanks for caring about design.
