Well, it was a pretty rough (past) two weeks. Everything from car batteries dying, hard drives crashing and family members having surgeries – I simply couldn’t get any work done. Even if I HAD the time, I couldn’t access any information due to a failed USB port on a hard drive.

Fortunately, after more than a week of attempts, my brother-in-law Ben was able to ghetto-rig the 1TB hard drive and retrieve every single piece of data. All of this happening on the eve of my birthday, September 3. Talk about a great birthday present!

Slowly but surely, things are getting back to normal. Cars are running again. Family members are up and moving again – albeit very gingerly. And most importantly (from a professional perspective) my hard drive woes are no more.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. I know one thing is certain – I will be working.
