And all of a sudden, there they were with a new Skype update – incredibly crisp, incredibly emotional icons that had been given a breath of new life.

In my recent web adventures, and as a result of listening to a recent Design Matters episode, I came across Hicks Design. Needing no real formal introduction (but I’ll go on any way), Hicks Design is an awesome design practice based in Oxforshire, UK that crafts beautifully designed logos, icons, UI and websites.

I knew that the first post in my Freebies section had to be a good one. So when I came across Dan Leech’s collection of beautifully simple and ridiculously simple to use icons, I knew I found what I was looking to share.

With 100 icons ranging in size from 16px to a whopping 4096px, there’s bound to be the size you desire for your project. Additionally, each icon comes with a transparent background, allowing for maximum versatility. As if that weren’t enough, Dan goes so far as to site sources for the for the exact colors of the backgrounds, should you want the icons on the brand colors they’re intended to be used with/on.

Transition Way, LLC needed a logo for their service which specialized in the therapeutic treatment of individuals making education and/or career transitions in their life. Providing support for things like job search assistance, placement, counseling and self betterment. I was happy to create a logo for such a caring, great service.

After working on a few projects for The Laser Institute of America, they were kind enough to award me the opportunity to layout their product catalog.

The 2011-2012 Catalog had detailed information on laser education, collection of DVDs available to medical professionals and brief company biographic information.
